This is the tier list of the strongest support units for Buffers, Debuffers, and Healers in the global version of Octopath Traveler: COTC. 

Every unit on the list is assumed to be max level, Awaken 1 (except for Arena units).

Brave Fan is considered for Dancers.

Buffs and Debuffs have their individual categories because of how they stack.

Ranking criteria:

  • Damage is not considered whatsoever on this list
  • AOE Buffs/Debuffs are generally superior to single Buffs/Debuffs
  • Unique Buffs/Debuffs are rated higher
