Project Mugen is an upcoming mobile, PC, and PS5 urban open-world RPG by Naked Rain and published by NetEase.
The game dropped a trailer on August 24, 2023.
I saw the video and like many others, thought it was an absolute masterpiece of a marketing video.
The game appears to include elements of Spiderman (Spiderverse), Grand Theft Auto, Splatoon, and of course Genshin Impact.
The game describes itself as a world where one “do not follow any rules, including this one”, which might remind Honkai: Star Rail players of their MC’s famous quote “Rules are meant to be broken”.
The game’s world or system appears to be called the N.I.U., with you the player being assigned the title “Infinite Trigger” investigator. Whatever that means, we’ll stay tuned and find out.
